and you know there's nothing more important to me than being loved by my peeps... (that's actually in my breed description, right under "Purpose: lump of useless dog, lapwarmer")
So I'm back here on the blogger to keep my fan happy!
I have so much to tell you...
I've been so happy since the old dog died. Yeah, I missed her. I grieved hard for 2 days. Couldn't even nap. And then a realized it's all about ME now (Mimi=Me-Me!). So somehow I felt better. They take me out more and they pet me more and I don't have to fight for a lap. I'm even allowed to ride in the front seat in the car now.
Life is sweet!
But I did realize that life is short and there's a lot I haven't mastered yet, so I've been on a self improvement kick. I've increased my memory span up to 15 minutes now, and I can count to two. I get two things in the morning and two things in the afternoon. I'm still having trouble with time though - especially if She doesn't keep to her proper schedule. Oh, and since they got me a new sofa I've learned to make a nest on the back, and I've figured out how to push open the curtain so I can keep an eye out for the old blue shirt who throws envelopes at my head. Hey, and the curtain thing works on doors too, sometimes...
I have been hard at work training my peeps too. They've responded pretty well. There's barely anything I do now that doesn't deserve a treat. Even fun things - like going for a walk or a ride in the car. I've even trained Dawne to stop making coffee and come out and give me food when I sit nicely outside her shop.
And I'm working on my aim with the kong toy. If I throw it just right the peeps laugh and give me a funny look and then they go fill it with the special peanut butter. Nice! It doesn't work every time, but usually if I can get it to hit the foot or a lap I have a good chance.
The Lap has been getting pretty uncooperative during the day. I can barely get her to sit down at all, except early early and after dinner. But I have decided to forgive her because she's been bringing me friends. Most of them smell like books, which is good, I guess. But there's a couple of little ones that smell like milk and candy and they squeal and laugh and they have yummy mouth and nose holes right at my level. And they like to hold cookies one in each hand, so they can keep one while I take the other one. Yeah, the little peeps are my favorites....
Anyway, give me a day or two and I'll be back with some pictures. I'm looking pretty good these days, even if I'm going a bit grey. That woman has been pointing her laser shooting, bright light flashing, camera thing at me here and there lately, but I got her good - I trained her to give me a snack after each shoot!
haha
I rock!
